All the shapes! Our double thick signature scarf is 28 cm (11 inch) wide by 180 cm (71 inch) long. Made from 300 grams of beautifully soft merino wool, it's stylish, extra cosy and reversible!

Materials

  • 100% superfine merino wool sourced from high welfare farms. This ensures high ethical standards and animal welfare. Mulesing free

  • Our Wool is washed, dyed and spun in Italy by our family run yarn supplier with over 360 years experience in the wool industry

  • Labels are made in the UK from 100% organic cotton

  • Our packaging is reusable, recyclable and compostable. All of it

  • Entirely plastic free

  • Please be aware that different devices may affect the way yarn colours appear on your screen. Therefore, some variation may occur between what you see on screen and the actual yarn colour.

Process

  • Every item is made to order in our studio in Scotland exclusively for you

  • Created on a digital knitting machine and hand finished to the highest standards

  • Manufactured using zero waste principles

Size and fit

  • The Shape Scarf is 28 cm (11 inches) wide and 180 cm (71 inches) long

  • Laurence, wearing the Shape Scarf in Pale Pink and Skye Blue, is 183 cm (6 feet) tall and has a chest measurement of 100 cm (39 inches)

  • Gayle, wearing the Shape Scarf in Oatmeal Brown and Sunshine Yellow, is 178 cm (5 foot 10 inches) tall and has a chest measurement of 117 cm (46 inches)

  • As wool is a natural material some minor variation can occur in sizing during the manufacturing process

Make it last

  • Steam iron on cool to give your knit a quick refresh

  • Wool is a superfibre that naturally resists stains and odours. Seriously! Thats why we support a #NoWash approach to wool. Less water, less detergent, better for the planet

  • If your knit does need a clean then hand wash with cool water to keep it soft and fluffy

  • Dry flat to avoid stretching

  • Do not machine wash

  • Do not tumble dry

We currently ship to the UK and the USA.

Once your knitwear has been made we will ship it at the following rates:

UK:

  • Free Standard shipping on orders over £100
  • Standard Tracked (2-4 business days from manufacture) - £3.50
  • Express Tracked (1-3 business days from manufacture) - £4.50

USA

  • Free International shipping on orders orders over $200
  • Standard International Tracked & Signed (7 to 10 business days from manufacture) - $30

Please note orders to the USA may be subject to import duties and / or sales tax on delivery. In these cases it is the responsibility of order recipient to pay.

Fabulous scarf and fingerless mittens

I am absolutely delighted with my gorgeous scarf and fingerless mittens. I ordered an oatmeal scarf with one orange end and one red end and it gets so many compliments. It is wonderfully soft and the perfect length and thickness. I wear it ALL the time. Such a wonderful gift

I choose to purchase a neck warmer and fingerless mitts (in Black Sheep colour) while visiting Edinburgh, after being introduced to the products of Woolkind. I was VERY IMPRESSED by their mission, and attention to sustainability, inclusivity, transparency and ethical values. The quality of the products and the packaging, is exemplary!!! Made with care and love!!! Since my purchase more than a month ago, I’ve been wearing the super soft neck warmer every day, (definitely no wool prickles) even in the house, so cosy on these cold, dark Canadian winter days! And the fingerless mitts are so nice for driving, for accessing my purse, for using the phone without having to remove gloves or mitts. I cannot even explain how life changing this scarf has been! I have struggled to find an itch-free scarf for many years and at last, I found Woolkind! This wool hits different, it’s soft, it’s cozy, and the colours are gorgeous! Checkered are really in at the moment and I couldn’t find an original checkered pattern that would stand out, until I found this scarf! So if you don’t want to compromise fashion for quality or viceversa, get one of these pronto!

Ordering

  • How do I select and order your knitwear?

It's simple. Pick your desired products and browse our fierce range of 16 different shades of 100% superfine merino wool. Every item in our collection allows customisation, whether its size, or the placement of multiple colours.

Whether it's a slightly different size or completely different pattern, we love a wee challenge, so go on, inspire us with your ideas! Contact us and we'll take it from there!

Shipping

  • What is your lead-time for orders?

As everything is made to order we don't do fast fashion, but we'll be as fast as we can!

Once you've placed an order you're in our Studio Queue, and you can sit back and wait for your knit to come to life!

  • Where do you ship to?

We currently sell and ship to UK only (including Northern Ireland), but hope to widen this soon.

  • Is your packaging recyclable or Compostable?

We'd obviously prefer that you try to repurpose our packaging, however if it has no other use, then yes it can be recycled or composted.

  • How long does shipping take?

Once your order has been knitted, checked, linked, sewn, checked, washed, pressed, and wrapped (phew!) we'll get it dispatched quickly.

Changes and Returns

  • Can I amend or cancel my order before I've received it?

Please Contact us as quickly as possible and we'll do what we can to help, but this will depend on whether we have started making your knitwear.

  • Can I return my knitwear if I change my mind after I receive it?

We want you to be delighted with your knitwear. If, when it arrives, something isn't as you expect then please Contact us and we can take it from there.

  • What happens if there's a fault in my knitwear?

We're sorry if there's something wrong with your knitwear. Each item is hand finished and carefully checked to prevent this from happening but sometimes things are missed.

3 scarves 🧣 received at Grandmas house!

I love my little snood in ‘haggis’ colour. I haven’t stopped wearing it and it goes with everything. The fabric is really soft next to my skin and gives an added warmth at all times. ( Jo aged 51). My mums scarf is also beautiful. She designed it ( with help!) on the very easy to use website and the colours red, pink and beige jazz up so many outfits.
